How to Install Your B-Pillar Vinyl Wrap
What You’ll Need:
- B-Pillar vinyl wrap
- Microfiber cloth
- Squeegee or flat card wrapped with microfiber cloth
- Utility knife or vinyl cutter
- Heat gun or hairdryer (optional for tricky areas)
1️⃣ Prepare the Area
🧼 Clean the B-pillar with a microfiber cloth to remove dust, dirt, and oils.
🛑 Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the vinyl.
2️⃣ Peel the Vinyl Backing
📜 Carefully peel off the backing paper, exposing the adhesive.
🔄 Avoid touching the adhesive side too much to prevent contamination.
3️⃣ Position the Vinyl
📌 Align the vinyl with the B-pillar, starting from one edge.
🔄 Reposition as needed before applying firm pressure.
4️⃣ Apply & Smooth
🔽 Use the squeegee to press the vinyl down, working from the center outward.
💪 Ensure no air is trapped under the vinyl.
5️⃣ Remove Air Bubbles
💨 With Avery’s air-free channels, gently press on any bubbles to "bleed" the air out.
⚠️ Avoid puncturing bubbles as they should release naturally.
6️⃣ Heat & Conform
🔥 Use a heat gun or hairdryer (low setting) to soften the vinyl for curved edges.
⚠️ Keep moving the heat source to avoid overheating.
7️⃣ Trim Excess Vinyl
✂ Use a sharp utility knife or vinyl cutter for clean edges.
🔍 Leave a small margin to prevent peeling.
8️⃣ Final Touches
✔ Press down any lifted edges and use heat to seal them.
🔥 Recheck for bubbles and smooth them out.
9️⃣ Let It Settle
⏳ Allow 24-48 hours for the vinyl to fully adhere before washing the car.
